Prior to that he led a corporate legal practice specializing in intellectual property, M&A, and general contract law for a variety of U.S. and multinational companies. Clients included Chrysler, Warner-Lambert/Pfizer, AT&T, Mercedes Benz, Fiat, the Motion Picture Association of America, and The New York Yankees. As Managing Partner, Peter oversaw case strategy, supervised all engagements and achieved numerous successes for his clients, including:.
- Successfully assisting a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in acquiring patent extension resulting in additional 1.4 billion in revenue over 5 years.
- Aiding a multinational chemical company in obtaining high value sourcing contracts structured to provide the firm with a business launch in the American market.
- Managed contract negotiations and M&A legal work for numerous Fortune 100 companies.
He was appointed Chairman of the Board of a major Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) that was the first to provide service in State of New Jersey. He challenged existing health insurance models by providing lower rates and creating substantially lower cost structures by promoting proactive patient checkups and lifestyle improvements and instituting primary care physician relationships to serve as
gatekeepers to other medical services. As Chairman he:
- Led the organization from early concept stage through to full, profitable operations.
- Increased membership from 0 to 200,000 over three years.
- Negotiated merger with Americare to create Foundation Health Corp., the country’s first national HMO
